Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Heat the olive oil in the Instant Pot on the sauté setting. Add the ground beef, onion, and garlic to the pot and cook until the beef is browned and the onion is softened.
2. Add the tomato paste, beef broth, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms, and peas to the pot. Stir to combine.
3. Secure the lid and set the valve to the sealing position. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
4. Quick release the pressure and open the lid.
5. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, if needed.
6. Serve the stew hot, with a side of steamed vegetables or a salad.

Notes

If you don't have an Instant Pot, you can easily make this dish on the stovetop. Simply brown the beef in a large pot or Dutch oven, then add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the beef and vegetables are tender.
