Cook Time

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of black beans, drained and rinsed

2. Add the drained beans, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper to the Instant Pot and stir to combine.

3. Pour in the water and stir to combine.

4. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and set to high pressure for 10 minutes.

5. Once the cooking time is finished, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, and then manually release the remaining pressure.

Recipe Tips

If you want to make this recipe even easier, you can use a store-bought jar of salsa instead of the chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. You can also add any other veggies you have on hand, such as bell peppers, celery, or carrots. For a bit of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. This recipe is also great with a can of diced tomatoes or some cooked corn added in.
